HLOA (Hambukushu Lodge Owners Association)

The owners of all the Lodges in the area have got together and formed an association with a constitution in which they all commit to looking after the environment by;-

1. only purchasing multi hull boats when buying or replacing water craft, which have a small wake and therefore don't drown the nesting birds or denude the river banks.

2. only 4 stroke motors to prevent noise and oil pollution in the river.

3. we have also built a refuse recycling yard - run by the local headman - at which ALL lodge refuse is sorted, compacted and then sold to ensure a sustainable local business and create local employment.

4. other environmental commitments to ensure our future is sustainable.
